• Sept. 30th is Orange shirt day in remembrance of residential schools. The students are invited to wear orange.

Tonight the students are challenged to read for 10 minutes to self. They can also teach someone what read to self looks like.

Sept. 21

1. Clothing orders went home Monday with youngest and only children. Please have orders in by Oct. 6th

3. Students are challenged to teach someone how to read with someone.
4.  Ask your child what the difference is between an increasing and decreasing pattern. See if they can make a visual example of each explaining the differences and similarities.
5. Motherwell permission slip. Please pay on line and return permission slip by Tuesday, Sept. 27.

Sept. 13

• Scholastics orders due tomorrow
• We discussed how to check for comprehension when reading. Ask your child what are the two questions they should ask themselves while reading to see if they understand.
• We had a presentation about our up-coming field trip to Brown's Coulee on Oct. 4th. More information to follow.

Sept. 9th

• Please decorate your writing folder with things that inspire you to write. These could be photos, stickers, drawings, etc. Please bring the folder back to school Monday even if you have not finished the decorating.
• X-country letter for those running Wednesday at Douglas Park
• Gardening Club letter for those participating.

Sept. 8th

• Year books go home with a few students who ordered them.

Welcome back to a new year of school! Today I sent home Scholastics forms. If you are interested please turn them in by Wed. Sept. 14th. Remember you may also make payments online.
